Full Moon in Aries

full moon | Aries | Oct 17, 2024

This full moon in Aries is the culmination of a 6 month cycle that began with the new moon solar eclipse in Aries on April 8th of this year. That new moon was conjunct Chiron, and revealed in no uncertain terms a wound in our psyche.

The nodal journey from Libra to Aries has shown us all of the ways we self abandon for love. The new moon back in April made it impossible to ignore those patterns, and set us off on a journey of choosing ourselves.

This full moon is also conjunct Chiron, and represents the completion of a healing journey we have been on for the last 6 months since the eclipse. Hopefully we have learned our lesson, done our work, and chosen ourselves regardless of the fear, loneliness and wounds that doing so activates within us.

This full moon illuminates a final piece of the puzzle — bringing it all together full circle. An invitation to burn the old to the ground and stand boldly and fiercely in the face of change. Willing and courageously choosing your highest self. Doing whatever it takes to carve out a space for YOU — your dreams, your vision, your future. Saying a final goodbye to all the ways you sacrificed yourself in an attempt to receive love.

The wound is revealed. Under this full moon, you may experience emotional clarity around what your own unintegrated shadow pattern is and how you can show up differently moving forward.

The Aries Libra axis deals with our relationship to self and other. We ALL require both. The problems arise when we think we have to sacrifice one in favour of the other. A true connection to self will always bring us closer to those we are meant to be in connection with. Authentic and aligned relationships with others will always bring us closer to ourselves.

There can be no other way.

We are meant to integrate the perfect harmony between independence and interdependence. This full moon illuminates the shadows that prevent us from doing so. Inviting us to recognize the strength in choosing ourselves, and the aligned relationships that enhance our journey of coming home to ourselves.

The ruler of the full moon is Mars, who is making a powerful T square to the full moon, sun and opposition to Pluto. This full moon is one that provokes action that revolutionizes the way we show up to the balance of me and we.

Mars in Cancer can be extra tender and emotional, and opposed by Pluto, emotions can definitely be running high and may also have more to do with the past than the present. Beware of emotional reactivity and outbursts. Tend to your inner world, take time away from it all to move those big, heavy feelings that are surfacing, and take care with your outward reactions.

There is a powerful possibility to set a new pattern of behaviour into motion under this full moon. It will ask you to confront the wound, to take full personal ownership for it, and to break any patterns of projection. It will ask you to act with love, integrity, and empowered self responsibility.

You get to create the reality you want to experience moving forward. With the wound revealed, how do you want to move forward?

Big love and full moon blessings,

Hannah
