Welcome to the final new moon of 2024.
This full moon in Capricorn is asking us to get clear about our long term visions, and what we want to create as we move into a new calendar year. Making a helpful aspect to Saturn in Pisces, the ruler of Capricorn and therefore the ruler of our new moon, we are able to dream big about our future visions.
Capricorn loves a tangible, sustainable, and long term goal. Pisces is the dreamer, here to transcend the material realm and understand that anything is possible if it’s within the realm of our dreams.
Meanwhile, this new moon comes in alongside some other interesting transits in the chart worth paying attention to.
Mars and Pluto are in opposition in this chart, bringing tensions and perhaps unprocessed karmic debris to the surface. It would be wise to address any frustrations with the awareness that these conflicts are likely revealing a deeper pattern or karmic awareness that Pluto wants to reveal to us.
Mercury is also in opposition to Jupiter in the chart, meaning that any conversations we are contemplating or overthinking we are experiencing could be blown out of proportion. There could also be revelations that occur under this transit.
Venus and Uranus are in a square, meaning we may experience a change or disruption in the areas of love or money. Uranus is here to shake things up and always exposes us to the truth, but it often comes in a way that is challenging for the ego to process.

Moving into 2025, we are working with a slower pace with Mars (our planet of action, drive, and motivation) still in retrograde until Feb 24. We are also moving into the energy of the North Node conjunct Neptune, as the nodes prepare to transition into Pisces and Virgo in mid January.
The energy for the start of this year is really all about surrender. It’s about being rather than doing. It’s about trusting the process, being present, and trusting what is unfolding without knowing what is coming next.
Neptune at the North Node can be a powerful energy for bringing us in touch with our wildest dreams, bringing fantasy to life. However in order to feel the full potential of this energy, we need to detach and release control and resistance. Anywhere we are still clinging tight, we will experience challenge and frustration.
With this final new moon of the calendar year, use this energy to release anything that is standing in the way of your goals, dreams, and visions for 2025. Whatever it is you are calling in this new cycle, focus on who you need to be — rather than what you need to do — to create it.
Finally, this new moon can be a powerful way to set intentions for the next 6 month cycle. Cleanse, clear, and release anything that you do not wish to carry with you. Move from a place of trust, openness, and a deep connection to truth. Know that wherever you are is exactly where you are meant to be.
